In remote villages in parts of eastern Africa the women collect this hard to find and precious herb they call Chiswita. They dry the leaves and store them for cleansing their hair.
Once they add warm water to the leaves a jelly like substance materializes- nature's own shampoo. The jelly is separated from the leaves and massaged into wet hair.
This relaxing motion removes oil and debris from hair as it softens the strands. The result is hair that is smooth and shiny. Thanks to the women of eastern Africa we are blessed to have a completely natural, eco-friendly and holistic way to cleanse and appreciate our gift of hair.
