One of the oldest known spices, Cardamom essential oil is best known for enhancing mood and wellbeing. It is one of several essential oils that helps to calm stomach nausea and motion sickness when applied topically diluted in a carrier oil or added in an inhaler along with ginger and peppermint essential oils.
Along with stomach relief, Cardamom uplifts the emotions and can inspire sensuality. Additionally if seasonal allergies or illnesses are too much to handle, just diffuse Cardamom to help with breathing and support a healthy respiratory system.

Aromatic Influence: Uplifting, refreshing and invigorating, and may be beneficial for clearing confusion; it is an intense spice with a sweet balsamic and floral undertones
Other Possible Uses: May help with appetite (loss of), colic, coughs, debility, dyspepsia, flatulence, halitosis, headaches, mental fatigue, nausea, pyrosis (or heartburn) sciatica and vomiting. It may also help with menstrual periods, menopause, and nervous indigestion. Note: Cardamom has the same properties as ginger but is less of an irritant
Historical Uses: Anciently, cardamom was used for epilepsy, spasms, paralysis, rheumatism, cardiac disorders, all intestinal illnesses, pulmonary disease, feer, and digestive and urinary complaints. It is said to be able to neutralize the lingering odor of garlic
Blends With: Bergamot, cedarwood, cinnamon bark, cistus, clove, frankincense, neroli, orange, rose and ylang ylang
Directions for Use:Generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for internal consumption fy the FDA (21CFR182.20)*
Dilute 1 drop of oil in 1 teaspoon of honey or 4 oz of beverage (i.e. soy/rice milk)
Use 6-8 drops in a diffuser of your choice
Apply diluted to flex points and/or directly on area of concern.
Dilute with a base and massage over stomach, solar plexus and thighs.
Add to bath for relief of symptoms or as a warm compress
Not for children under 6 years old; use with caution and in greater dilution for children 6 to 14 years
Do not apply to eyes, sensitive areas or mucous membranes
Do not apply undiluted to skin (refer to an aromatherapy text)
