HEPA stands for high-efficiency particulate air. A HEPA filter is a type of mechanical air filter; it works by forcing air through a fine mesh that traps harmful particles such as pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and tobacco smoke.
HEPA Media Filtration captures 99.97 % of particles of dust, pollen, bacteria and more, down to 0.3 micron.
Insert filter into your face mask with the thinner material towards your face. Filters may be used several times and hand rinsed in warm/hot water and let air dry.
The 2.5 in PM2.5 refers to the size of the pollutant in micrometres, and are equivalent to 0.001 millimetres. PM2.5 are fine inhalable particles, with diameters that are generally 2.5 micrometers and smaller. How small is 2.5 micrometers? Think about a single hair from your head. The average human hair is about 70 micrometers in diameter – making it 30 times larger than the largest fine particle. smallest thing that the average human eye can perceive is about 0.1 millimetres, which is around the same width as a human hair. So in order for us to see something as incredibly small as a micrometre, we need to use powerful microscopes.
Wash hands excessively when handling filters after wearing.
