^2 A versatile, plant-derived emulsifier and dough conditioner made from stearic acid (usually from vegetable oils) and lactic acid. The FDA classifies SSL as a safe food additive when used in specified limits. In skincare, it is considered non-irritating and is often certified by organic standards like EcoCert.

Apply generously to clean, wet hair after shampooing. Work through mid-lengths and ends. Leave on for 1–3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
