Laundry Balls: If you’re still using disposable dryer sheets, you might want to try our reusable dryer balls! Adding dryer balls to the dryer with your laundry helps soften fabrics and speed drying without chemicals! (Dryer sheets can contain chemicals that get onto your clothes in the dryer, and these chemicals can cause skin issues like irritation or itchiness. If you or someone in your family suffers from skin issues, you might want to try these!) And it doesn’t hurt that they’re super cute; doing laundry has never been so adorable! Use 3-6 balls in the dryer at once, depending on the size of your load.
Metal Straws: You’ve probably seen the pictures of the turtle with the straw in its nose. If you’ve been on the fence about trying reusable straws, we have the perfect variety pack. It comes with 8 metal straws--6 straight straws in three different sizes (including two giant ones that you could use for smoothies or even bubble tea!) and 2 bent straws--and 2 cleaning brushes and a carrying case. With this pack, you can try them all and figure out which ones are best for you and your lifestyle. The carrying bag allows you to throw them in your purse so you never need to use a disposable straw again!
Menstrual Pads (& menstrual cups, coming soon!): We have a new batch of cloth menstrual pads in the store. A lot of people are scared of cloth pads, but they shouldn’t be! They’re incredibly easy to use, and they’re so comfortable. Many disposable pads can be irritating to sensitive skin with their fragrances and chemicals. Our pads are handmade with tops of cotton flannel (soft and snugly!), middle layers of cotton terry (absorbent!), and bottoms of fleece (water resistant to help prevent leaks!). They come in a number of cute patterns and were lovingly crafted just for us!
We’re also looking into stocking menstrual cups in the store. We have some samples (that you can touch and try out folding!), so feel free to stop by and take a look! Menstrual cups can be very intimidating. A lot of people are confused about what size they should get or how to use them. We’re always happy to talk about menstrual cups (we’re obsessed!), and we’d love to hear what you think!
Have a wonderful Earth Day, and we hope to see you in the store soon!
